Hardbound Books

Hardbound Books are made with a rigid chipboard core, and then wrapped with a 4C printed paper and laminated (gloss or matte lamination) or wrapped with fabric or material. The inside of the book is either printed or lined with a kraft paper. Book can be made for cds, dvds, usbs, or vinyl records. Discs can be held with trays, hubs, pockets or glued on sleeves, or swinging sleeves. USBs are usually made with foam wells. Vinyl sets can be made with foam or sleeves. Inner pages are in 4pp increments, and can be a stapled booklet or if over 28pp, a perfect bound booklet. Books can also be made with built in video panels!

CD books or 5 inch size hardbound books are available with trays, hubs, glued on sleeves / pockets or swinging sleeves. All are made with a rigid chipboard core and wrapped with either a 4C paper wrap or a fabric or material wrap.

DVD Books are usually 5 x 7 inch, sometimes 7 x 5 inch. If using a sleeve or hub to hold the discs, the dimensions can be custom. Outer wrap can be a 4C printed / laminated wrap, or a fabric or material covering.

Books can be wrapped in a fabric like linen or hemp, or wrapped in a leather / vinyl material. Fabrics like linen are best suited for simple 1C silkscreening or foil stamping. Materials like leather/ vinyl are best suited for foil stamping or debossing.

Inner Pages

• Available in 4pp increments
• 8pp - 28pp sizes are usually stapled booklets
• 28pp - 100pp or so are usually perfect bound, and can have thicker covers, thinner inner pages
• Smaller booklets are attached tot he wrap at the spine
• Larger booklets often have one page glued down for stability
• Fly sheets are available for looks, or to help secure a booklet
• Inner pages made with recycled paper, matte uncoated paper or glossy
• Black Kraft or Tan Parchment paper available for inner wrap lining

Trays to hold discs in books can be made of:

• Plastic available in single disc 5 inch, 7 inch, double disc 7 inch height
• Paper (100% Recycled paper with cork hub), 5 inch height only
• Foam, custom cut to any dimension and can also hold USBs, vinyl records, or other retail items

Swinging sleeves are free
standing sleeves that are usually attached at the spine area or to the booklet, as opposed to being glued to a panel.

Glued on Sleeves or Pockets can be made of kraft paper, a solid color paper stock, or printed paper stock.

Cork or foam hubs are a great way to hold discs. Foam panels can also be made to hold more items.

Vinyl Record Sets are making a comeback! We can make a vinyl book collection for you. Swinging sleeve or foam inserts to hold the contents are popular options.

Video Books have a built in LCD screen. Video is customizable and the boxes come with a usb cable for upload. Video screen size, memory, and programmable buttons can be customized, as well as the packaging.

We can also make a lighter weight chipboard LPs. These LPs use a chipboard core and book binding technique.
